Job 9-10
Its kind of crazy how even in his distress Job seems pretty clearheaded about his situation in that obviously he can't really complain to God about his condition even if he wanted to. Then in the second half he does anyway which is kind of funny but I like his whole argument in the first part of these chapters as he realizes that Only God can help him and if He had wanted to He would have already.
Psalm 47
I think of that song that is like a dance where the guy says, "clap your hands, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap...." Anyway I wonder if when they sang this song thousands clapped along. That would be a lot of noise! I think God loves noise. I notice that kids love to make noise and they seem to have so much fun doing it. I believe God just loves the LOUD sounds that bring him glory and praise.
Luke 11
There is a very small piece of me that would like to try this whole waking up your neighbor for bread thing. As I am pretty sure these days you'd probably get shot or no one would answer the door.
Even if people saw Christ casting out demons and really thought it was in the name of evil wouldn't it be stupid to tell the person who just worked the miracle that they were evil? Just seems like a kind of dumb response.
The Pharisee who invited Christ to eat probably wasn't as popular after doing so.
